Humanitarian
Assistance

When disaster strikes, KHAMAHUF responds. Our humanitarian assistance programme delivers rapid, dignified relief to individuals and families in acute crisis — ensuring that survival needs are met immediately while longer-term recovery is planned.

We work directly in affected communities, partnering with local leaders to identify the most vulnerable and ensure no one is left behind.

In 2025, we distributed emergency food parcels and essential supplies to over 500 families across flood-affected communities in the Littoral and South West regions.

  • Food & Nutrition Aid — Emergency food parcels, nutritional supplements, and feeding programmes for malnourished children and families.
  • Clothing & Essentials Distribution — Dignity kits, clothing, blankets, and hygiene materials to displaced individuals.
  • Emergency Health Support — First aid, medical referrals, and basic pharmaceutical supplies for crisis-affected communities.
  • Shelter & Displacement Support — Temporary shelter materials and resettlement assistance for families displaced by conflict or disaster.

Clean Water
Access

Access to safe, clean water is the foundation of health, dignity, and opportunity. Yet millions across Cameroon and sub-Saharan Africa still walk hours each day to collect water from unsafe sources. KHAMAHUF is changing that — one borehole at a time.

Our clean water programme drills sustainable boreholes, installs water management infrastructure, and trains community members to maintain these systems independently for generations to come.

Each borehole we drill provides safe water to an average of 800 people — dramatically reducing waterborne disease and freeing women and girls from hours of daily water collection.

  • Borehole Drilling & Installation — Deep well construction using professional drilling equipment, designed for decades of sustainable use.
  • Water Management Systems — Solar-powered pumps, storage tanks, and distribution infrastructure tailored to each community’s needs.
  • Hygiene & Sanitation Education — Community training on safe water handling, sanitation practices, and disease prevention.
  • Maintenance & Community Ownership — Local water committees trained and equipped to manage and maintain systems independently.

Child Support
Programs

Every child deserves a safe home, a quality education, and the chance to dream. For orphaned and vulnerable children in Cameroon, systemic barriers — poverty, illness, conflict — make this a daily struggle. KHAMAHUF walks alongside these children, providing the holistic support they need to thrive.

Our child support programme takes a whole-child approach — addressing not just schooling but nutrition, health, emotional wellbeing, and long-term mentorship.

We currently support over 1,200 children across Cameroon with school fees, uniforms, health care, and consistent mentorship from trained community volunteers.

  • School Fees & Supplies — Annual school fees, uniforms, stationery, and textbooks covered for children who would otherwise be unable to attend.
  • Health Screenings & Medical Care — Regular health checks, vaccinations, and treatment facilitation for children in our programme.
  • Nutrition Support — School feeding programmes and nutritional supplementation for children experiencing food insecurity.
  • Mentorship & Psychosocial Support — Trained community mentors who provide consistent guidance, emotional support, and positive role modelling.

Community
Outreach

Lasting change cannot be delivered from the outside — it must be grown from within. Our community outreach programme builds the skills, confidence, and networks that empower local people to become the primary agents of their own development.

Through vocational training, leadership development, and volunteer mobilisation, we help communities build resilience that outlasts any single project or intervention.

Our outreach programme has engaged over 50 communities, training local leaders and volunteers who now sustain development initiatives independently at the grassroots level.

  • Vocational & Skills Training — Practical workshops in tailoring, agriculture, business management, and digital literacy for youth and women.
  • Community Leadership Development — Training local leaders to plan, manage, and advocate for their community’s development needs.
  • Volunteer Network Mobilisation — Recruiting, training, and sustaining a growing network of community volunteers who extend KHAMAHUF’s reach.
  • Awareness & Advocacy Campaigns — Community-led campaigns on health, child rights, water hygiene, and gender equality.

How Our Programs Work

Our Process
01

Community Assessment

Every programme begins with a thorough, community-led needs assessment — working with local leaders to understand the most pressing challenges, available resources, and cultural context before any intervention is designed.

02

Programme Design

We co-design solutions with community members, ensuring that every project reflects local priorities, respects cultural norms, and is built for long-term sustainability — not short-term optics.

03

Implementation

Our field teams and trained community volunteers implement programmes with transparency and accountability — providing regular updates to donors, partners, and beneficiaries throughout every project phase.

04

Monitoring & Impact

We track measurable outcomes for every programme, publishing impact reports and maintaining open financial records so that every supporter can see exactly how their contribution is changing lives on the ground.
