Driven by Compassion.
Led by Action.
We are a non-profit organisation rooted in the communities of Cameroon — responding to crisis, building lasting infrastructure, and restoring dignity to those who need it most.
Impact
A Foundation Built on Community, Dignity & Hope
The Khalir and Marife Humanitarian Foundation (KHAMAHUF) is an independent, non-profit organisation established to address the critical and often urgent needs of vulnerable populations across Cameroon and the broader African continent.
Headquartered in Yaounde, Centre Region, Cameroon, we are deeply embedded in the communities we serve — not as outsiders, but as neighbours, advocates, and partners in progress. What began as a localised effort to provide immediate crisis relief has evolved into a comprehensive, multi-pronged humanitarian mission.
Today, our work spans clean water access, child welfare and education, emergency relief, and long-term community development — always guided by the belief that sustainable change must be community-led.
Integrity: We uphold the highest standards of accountability in every project we undertake.
Dignity: Every individual we serve is treated with full respect and humanity.
Sustainability: We build solutions that outlast our presence in any community.
Mission, Vision & Core Values
Our CompassOur Mission
To deliver rapid humanitarian aid, drill sustainable clean-water boreholes, and provide holistic support to orphaned and vulnerable children — ensuring every individual has access to the health, education, and resources needed to build a better future for themselves and their community.
Our Vision
A Cameroon — and an Africa — where no individual suffers from a lack of basic human necessities. A society where clean water flows freely, children learn in safe and nurturing environments, and communities are self-reliant, resilient, and able to define their own futures.
Our Approach
We operate at the intersection of urgent relief and long-term development. We respond quickly in crises while simultaneously building the infrastructure that communities need to thrive for generations — with full transparency, local leadership, and community consent at every step.
How KHAMAHUF
Came to Be
“We saw communities in desperate need of water, children without access to education, and families with no safety net. We knew we had to act — not just once, but consistently, sustainably, and with genuine love.”
— Khalir & Marife, FoundersKHAMAHUF is Established
The Khalir and Marife Humanitarian Foundation is formally registered, with its founding mandate focused on immediate crisis relief and clean water access in rural Cameroon.
Clean Water Reaches Five Villages
Our first major infrastructure project delivers safe, sustainable water access to over 2,000 individuals across five communities — transforming daily life for women and children most affected by water scarcity.
Education & Orphan Support Programme Launches
KHAMAHUF expands its mandate to include holistic support for orphaned and vulnerable children — covering school fees, uniforms, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing for over 300 children.
500+ Families Reached Across Cameroon
With a growing network of volunteers and international partners, KHAMAHUF reaches a milestone of 500+ families aided, 25+ water projects completed, and a presence in multiple regions of Cameroon.
Expanding Beyond Borders
KHAMAHUF sets its sights on expanding its model across Central Africa, deepening existing programmes, and building the partnerships needed to scale its impact over the next decade.
